Whenever I see or hear news about some horrible things going on around the world, whether be about conflict among nations, or man-made disasters that befall mankind, or stupid things that we humans do that continually endanger our planet, I cannot help but recline on my chair and feel sad about it.

It’s times like these that I remember and reflect about the “Pale Blue Dot”.

Discovering Bali: a simple and quick guide to the Island of The Gods

On the western-most end of Lesser Sunda Islands, between Java to the west and Lombok to the east, lies the Indonesian island of Bali. It is mostly known for three things: wonderful beaches and dive sites, rich culture, and cheap massage.

While you can find all three in most, if not all, Asian countries lying in the Coral Triangle, Bali is a bit different. The mix of traditional culture and western influence makes it so.

Australia: more than just Sydney

“Did you know that everything in Australia will try to kill you?”

That’s what my buddy told me when I told him I’m moving to Australia a couple of years back. In case you have been living under a rock for most of your life, the world (or at least in The Interweebz) has this perception about Australia being filled with the nastiest, scariest, and deadliest creatures. Well, yeah for the most part, it actually is. But other than that, when someone says “Australia”, all they could think about are two things: Sydney and The Opera House.
